Hi all,

is it possible to downgrade firmare from RUT9XX_R_00.06.06.1to RUT9XX_R_00.05.04_WEBUI?

if yes, is there the right procedure?

the reason is that once updated the router has stopped browsing the internet. reading the forums the problem is related to version 6 of the firmare.

Hi,

It is a simple procedure, you can upgrade and downgrade whenever you want using firmware files.

Once you've downloaded the firmware you want - navigate to System > Firmware and choose to upgrade from file.

Select the firmware you've just downloaded and proceed with the upgrade/downgrade process.

It is totally up to you if you want to downgrade because of connectivity issues, but before you do so it would be really helpful if you could send me a troubleshoot file via private message while you're on the latest firmware.. after that you're free to downgrade to an earlier one.

through the indicated procedure: 

navigate to System > Firmware and choose to upgrade from file.

it's not possible to downgrade with a firmware lower than 6.0

an error message appears and I'm unable to go ahead with the upgrating process.

Firmware upgrade - verification failed

This device's provisioning doesn't allow it to be downgraded to a firmware version older than RUT9XX_R_00.06.00.
Ensure to get a correct firmware image and try to upgrade again.

how to generate a troubleshoot file?

my issue is the same explained on:

but to solve that I need to restore an old version of firmware. The old version (5) working fine for me before I upgrade te firmware.

It's weird as it should let you downgrade it from WebUI.

But as an alternative I suggest you try to downgrade it from the bootloader menu.
