Hi,

I was looking for an example to configure the rutx12 as a router on stick and I didn't found anything.

Is there a way to configure the rutx12 or a rut955 as a router on stick just to use 1 physical connection and send multiple vlans through it.

Thanks

Hello,

Login to the router's WebUI. The configuration is as follows.

  • Navigate to Network -> VLAN -> Port based. Add the number of VLANs you need, set their IDs and select Tagged under a single port as in the example below:

  • Next, navigate to Network -> Interfaces and add the same number of interfaces, as you have VLANs. In the General settings tab set protocol as Static, configure each interface in a different subnet, enable DHCP server.

  • In the interface's Physical settings tab assign physical interfaces to VLANs.

  • In the Firewall -> General settings -> Zones section, make sure VLANS are added to LAN zone.

From the routers perspective, this should be enough.

Best regards,
