I want to use RUT950 as in following network connection.

      END1 ---- RUT950 ---- LTE (4G network) ---- RUT950 ---- END2

Is this connection method possible ?

In above connection, can IPsec or PPTP method be applicable ?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Teltonika Crowd Support.

In order to achieve the above connection using IPSec or PPTP, you would need a public IP address on one of the routers.

Kindly refer to the link below for IPSec and PPTP configuration examples:

https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/IPsec_configuration_examples

https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/PPTP_configuration_examples

If at least one public IP address will be available on one of the routers, L2TP over IPSec would be recommended instead of stand alone IPSec or PPTP as L2TP over IPSec will allow to have secure tunnel. The following link provides an L2TP over IPSec configuration example:

https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/L2TP_over_IPsec_RutOS

If you do not have a public IP address on either of the two RUT950 routers, you could use ZeroTier One VPN, which is a 3rd party platform and you will be connecting to their server. Below are link for configuration example for ZeroTier One VPN:

https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/ZeroTier_One_VPN_configuration

Another option, which will not require a public IP address will be using RMS VPN. Further details about RMS VPN could be found by following the link below:

Hello,

Thank you for the feedback.

We recommend that you replicate the issue so that you may download and attached the troubleshoot file. Kindly ensure that at least one of the RUT950 routers has a public IP address when implementing IPSec or PPTP. To get information about the differences between private and public IP addresses, kindly follow the links below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6Czae6Iow4

https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/Private_and_Public_IP_Addresses

To get the troubleshoot file, access router's WebUI and navigate to System -> Administration > Troubleshoot section and download troubleshoot file from there.

Warm regards,

Wesley
