why does the RS485 serial port on some RUT955 routers work fine without the need to turn "raw mode" on, but on other RUT955 routers the data that goes through the RS485 gets corrupted or modified if the "raw mode" is not turned on? An example of the corruption without "raw mode" is that "CR LF" gets changed into "LF LF", or ETX bytes (#03) get filtered out of the stream

Hello,

Different routers might have different RS485 controllers.

Could you check, if there is a difference between devices hardware revision in router's WebUI System -> Status page or device batches?

Also, do all devices use the same firmware version?

Could you check, if adding a small, let's say 10 - 50ms serial device read time, resolve the issue?
