Hi Daumantas,
Thank you for checking the logs.
Yes, I noticed that the ping reboot caused constant restarts of the modem as expected.
What is not expected is that there is an underlying issue that prevents Internet connectivity, therefore ping reboot is triggered as a consequence.
Yes, I'm using TIM M2M SIM card for this particular test, they do have access to the public internet.
When the router was having this connectivity issue, I tried to ping Google DNS address on 8.8.8.8 by using the diagnostic tool in the Administration menu. This shouldn't be affected by DNS issues. However, ping failed, moreover with a strange error "operation not permitted".
It looks like there is some WAN or firewall issue, which was triggered by the weekly auto reboot.
I haven't changed any WAN or firewall setting.
In fact, by simply restoring the router to the configuration file I sent you, the connectivity starts working again. Same SIM card, same APN and same DNS setting. But then, on Monday night it will stop working and powering off and on the unit won't restore connectivity.
The bricked routers deployed in the field are using Things Mobile SIM cards, they do not require a special APN, thus this rule out a network operator issue.
Hope this helps pinpointing the issue.
With regards,
Nick
