Anybody else having this issue? Is it just missing in the GUI or was it removed without stating so in the change logs?

The device is offline now, for unknown reasons, so next step is going to be very time consuming for me.



I need to understand if this is the official Teltonika support channel, as I’m pretty sure my device is defective and this has taken almost two months by now.

Hello,



The feature is present on the RUTX11 with the same firmware version. Could you check the output of gsmctl -seix from a ssh console ?

Hi again,



Actually, after reboot the feature was there again, and the output of the command is: EG06ELAR03A05M4G



However, I'm having trouble with the modem (#1 in use with SIM) seems to have a malfunction after a while of uptime. Then the GPS location is no longer updated, but Internet works. Is this a known thing?



I've just tried to re-apply the latest firmware to see if that helps. Any suggestions?

Try disabling everything GPS related (NMEA, HTTPS, AVL ...) and retry the gpsctl command, this will tell you if the GPS module is working or not.

I tried disabled GPS entirely. The modem seems to encounter problems within short time, showing Operator as "N/A". However, the Internet connection and RMS still works.



I'm guessing this is connected to the GPS issues I'm seeing.



My devices seems to be malfunctioning. 



When GPS is enabled, the dominating error in system.log is "daemon.err ledman[7024]: Failed to find gsmd ubus object"



When GPS is disabled, I'm not sure what to conclude from the system.log. I'll need someone to look at this.

Yes, that's strange. Try re-enabling GPS but not NMEA ..., and re-execute gpsctl -seix ? Does it show you the coordinates ?

When the RUTX12 device has been running for a while, this is the output of the gpsctl command:



root@RUTX12:~# gpsctl -seix

I can then reboot the device, and until it starts failing, the gpsctl command returns a location:

When gpsctl fails, does "cat /dev/ttyUSB1" still outputs something ?

No, "cat /dev/ttyUSB1" just leaves a blinking cursor while executing "gpsctl -seix" (in another SSH terminal).

Just to be sure, could you revert the firmware to the previous version and see if it fails in the same manner ?
